Frequently Asked Questions

What type of clothing should we bring?
Loose fitting, comfortable clothing such as jogging suits, house-dresses, elastic waist bottoms, and comfortable shoes such as sneakers. Residents do not wear hospital gowns. We recommend residents leave all valuables such as jewelry at home.

Do you offer laundry services?

Westport does offer daily laundry services. Laundry is covered while a patient is under Medicare services. When a patient changes to private paying status, laundry services will be billed at the rate of two dollars per day. Families also have the option to do the laundry themselves. If you choose for the family to do the laundry, we ask you to bring in an airtight laundry basket. We also suggest the family label all items of clothing brought to Westport.

What are your visiting hours?
Westport has unrestricted visiting hours. We encourage families to visit as often as they would like. Families are also allowed to accompany residents to rehab and eat meals with residents in our dining room. Westport also welcomes visits from pets and children.

How often do residents receive rehabilitation services?
All residents under rehab services, receive rehab at least five days a week. Depending on their progress and their doctors' orders, residents may receive rehab services up to seven days a week.
